A true Flexitime system has to be able to calculate an employees daily attendance hours paying due regard to flexible start and finish times and within certain boundaries possibly penalise or at least note, any lateness or early departure (core time clockings).

At the end of each day a calculation is made of the total time worked, from which is subtracted that employees contracted or target daily hours - leaving a balance (plus or minus) for that day.

This daily balance is allowed to accumulate over as long a period of time as required, it can be capped at a pre-set level at the end of the pay period of simply rolled on from one period - balances can of course be positive or negative, ie the employee is accumulating time to use for a later absence period or they owe time to the company - employees using a Flexitime system correctly will often vary from a positive to a negative balance from one period to the next.

Our Auto Time Premium Flexitime software has been developed after decades of experience in the implementation of such systems, it is a specialist subject and to do it properly you have to understand the intricacies and expectations of the employees who will be using it - we developed our specialist knowledge after two decades of implementation in various government departments.

A critical part of the process is the feedback of information to the employee, we achieve this by displaying the current days carry forward balance on screen every time the employee registers a clocking, or on demand without needing to register.

As our software is multi-user it is also possible to grant access to individuals with password controls to allow viewing of archived information.

Absences can be booked as either paid or unpaid, credited or un-credited, any absence that does not earn a flexi-credit is debited from the running balance,this happens without any intervention required so you don’t actually need to record unpaid absences, (although you may wish to), the debit is made automatically and the employee sees it on the clock screen the next time they register.

A full range of reports are provided and it is common practice to give each employee a complete breakdown of their attendance and absence hours at the end of each pay period - our pay period Flexitime report is laid out in an obvious manner and easy to understand.

Auto Time Flexitime is included as part of the Auto Time Premium suite and is installed at the same time as the attendance recording software.
